What is the difference between Coaching and Therapeutic Counseling?

Coaching usually works with situations that come and go, and helps develop specific problem-solving strategies: team building, problematic co-workers or the boss, burnout, and developing a life plan to guide you over time as you move from situation to situation.

Good therapy is not a band-aid. It is a path to healing wounds or bad habits by learning to be good to yourself and to those you want in your circle, including the ability to communicate your heart’s desires and your boundaries.

As your therapist or life coach, I bring a wide variety of ways for you to reach into yourself for good skills and ways to be in the world. I can work through the modality that is your strength: are you visual? body movement oriented? Need breathing work? Or insight, cognitive/mindful consciousness oriented?
